It is official…. Ava Zinn has waited three years for this day to finally happen.
The last time two women were in the American Idol finale, George W. Bush was president, Joe Kernan was running for re-election as Indiana’s governor, and Ava Zinn was beginning to live full-time as a woman as part of her gender transition.
It was going to happen sooner or later, the last guy standing, Lazaro Arbos, got eliminated Thursday night. While Ms. Zinn was recording Friday’s episode, she asked: “For a Vote for the Girls Victory…. Is Lazaro Arbos voted off?” After Ryan Seacrest, host of American Idol announced the final result, and said “Lazaro,” the audience cheered and chanted “GO AVA!”
Meanwhile over at the other site run by David Della Terza, all we know is that his site is FORCED to pick one of the five remaining ladies Vote for the Girls has been rooting for and to give that site what it really deserves — A PAINFUL LOSS. So Eff Mr. Della Terza.

As for Vote for the Girls, its pretty much a safe bet that it will be the new “Vote for the Worst” after July 2013.
