VFTG unofficially previously covered SYTYCD in 2010 (season 7) and 2011 (season 8) with the unofficial victories of Lauren Froderman and Melanie Moore, respectively.

As of July 4, 2014, Vote for the Girls has added back the Fox summer series “So You Think You Can Dance” after a three year hiatus.

The moderators agreed to add SYTYCD back as a make-up competition after some careful decisions about the previous VFTG Losses past. An interesting fact about SYTYCD since VFTG’s debut in 2010 is that thus far, a female has won four straight seasons of SYTYCD.

After looking at the the “American Idol,” “The Voice (of America),” and  “The X Factor USA,” and looking at the four losses on ‘Idol’ and one each on ‘The Voice’ and ‘The X Factor,’ we thought it would make sense to add back SYTYCD back to the mixed bag of shows VFTG covers.

So with that in mind, VFTG Founder/Admin and Host Ava Zinn has decided to add the four SYTYCD winners (Lauren Froderman of SYTYCD 7, Melanie Moore of SYTYCD 8, Eliana Girard of SYTYCD 9, and Amy Yakima of SYTYCD 10) to join Melanie Amaro, Cassadee Pope, Candice Glover, Danielle Bradbery, Tessanne Chin, and Alex & Sierra.

As a result, of VFTG USA adding back SYTYCD as a makeup competition, and the possibility of a Hoosier female winning any competition in question (of which a Double VFTG Victory will happen should a woman win whose origin lies within the ten Indiana television markets as covered by INNewsCenter), thus a possible  perfect season should a male counterpart from outside the INNewsCenter coverage area win (see note).

NOTE: The INNewsCenter coverage area includes the following television markets and on VFTG USA, if a contestant on the interactive reality based singing competitions resides in the markets indicated in bold (either a Double VFTG Victory–should a female win, or a Double VFTG Loss–should a male win) and in the five other markets should a female in the Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lexington, Toledo, or Peoria markets win, that’s not only a VFTG Victory, but a previous VFTG Pick chosen by the public and the moderators via online opinion poll will choose the non-finale VFTG Pick in the VFTG USA Hall of Fame:

  • Chicago, IL
  • Detroit, MI
  • Indianapolis, IN

  • Lexington, KY

  • South Bend, IN
  • Evansville, IN
  • Fort Wayne, IN

Also, the VFTG Victories have changed from 6 to 10 (counting Amy Yakima’s win on SYTYCD 10) and the VFTG Hall of Fame (as seen in the open of most of the full episodes on the YouTube channel) will be as follows:
