Vote for the Girls is saddened to share that former Purple Team moderator Kathi Jameson passed away peacefully at home in Indianapolis early Saturday afternoon, surrounded by family and friends. She turned 29 just less than two weeks ago.
Born in Joilet, Illinois, Kathi hosted a few shows before joining the moderator panel of Vote for the Girls in 2014.
“This is an enormous loss for the Vote for the Girls staff, crew and all of Kathi & Karly’s millions of fans. Working beside Kathi for the past few years before she left in 2018 was an incredible honor. Her belief in the importance of Vote for the Girls and her willingness to push herself to perform at the highest level was the most inspiring demonstration of courage I have ever seen. Her constant desire to learn, her kindness, and her professionalism will be with all of us forever,” said Lauren Herman, Vote for the Girls Purple Team South Moderator.
Kathi is survived by her wife of 5 years, Purple Team South Moderator Karly Jameson, and daughter Trista. The family has announced no plans for a service.
“Today we lost a legend and a beloved member of the Aeverine Zinn Digital Media Group family,” said Jackson Steele, Chairman and CEO of NoSirGifts Fantasy Television Distribution. “For three amazing years, Kathi was that comforting voice, that moment of escape and entertainment at the end of a long, hard week for thousands of people around America. She will be deeply missed by everyone who made her part of their lives. Our hearts go out to Karly, Trista, her mother, Alaina, and aunt Andrea.”
